MTBF is the measure of the average time between failures of a system or component during normal operation. It is a measure of system reliability and uptime.

MTBF = Total Operational Time​ / Number of Failures

▶ Purpose in Data Centers: Helps in assessing the reliability of equipment like servers, power systems, and cooling units. Higher MTBF indicates fewer failures and a more reliable system.

𝗠𝗧𝗧𝗥 (𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗧𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿)

MTTR is the average time taken to repair a failed system or component and return it to normal operational status. It is a measure of system maintainability.

MTTR = Total Downtime​ / Number of Repairs

▶ Purpose in Data Centers : Indicates the efficiency of maintenance and repair processes. Lower MTTR reflects faster recovery and reduced downtime.
